The Canadian government has provided $570,000 in funding to the Association for New Canadians to support the integration of newcomers.
The Association’s social enterprise food truck, dubbed “Global Eats,” provides training and mentorship to refugees, allowing them to gain valuable entrepreneur skills and employability within the food industry.
The funding aims to help newcomers enter the labour force and acquire language skills by ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and training to work in Canada.
