Canada Introduces Additional International Travel Restrictions

The Canadian government has announced new international travel restrictions designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19 variants

As of January 31, 2021, all flights to and from Mexico and Caribbean countries are suspended until April 30, 2021.

Beginning on February 3, 2021, all international commercial passenger flights will be directed to four airports in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. All private, business, and charter flights will be directed to the four approved points-of-entry as well.

Upon arriving in Canada, all air travelers are required to reserve a hotel room in a government-approved hotel for 3 nights and take a COVID-19 molecular test when they arrive. Both requirements are at the expense of the traveler and with limited exceptions.
