The sole Provincial Nominee Program draw this week occurred in B.C. with 284 invitations issued.

Minimum Comprehensive Ranking System scores across all five categories remained the same as the previous draw on January 7. The category with the highest minimum score was the Express Entry British Columbia — Skilled Worker category at 110 points. The lowest minimum score was in the Skills Immigration — Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker category at 85 points.

PNP draws help provinces fill gaps in their labour markets with skilled newcomers. Candidates are scored based on skill sets such as work experience, language skills and education. The number of annual provincial allocations is determined by the federal government.
